Your right, the second generation Silicon Chip design does have MAP capability. I had the original design. Regardless of the MAP sensor now included, I wouldn't even consider it for a dual fuel vehicle. The dual table capability of the MJLJ with 'on-the-fly' switching which can be driven from the fu...

The only factors not mentioned above are physical format and connector design. The first relates to how easy is it to fit and/or mount the selected coil. The second relates to availability of cables/connectors in the location of operation. Frankly, for anyone in New Zealand or Australia use of Ford ...

I can't see how you are going to get an EDIS8 to work in this application. It's meant to fire a cylinder every 90 crankshaft degrees but your engine needs one every 180 degrees. You would have to 'fiddle' the whole timing scenario. Not withstanding that, I would set it up with an MJLJ, EDIS4 and Acc...

This one I can comment on - I built and used one of these. A reasonable design with some good ideas unfortunately crippled for high performance use by the decision to retain the distributor. After some abortive attempts to eliminate timing inaccuracies causing gasket failures (supercharged engine) t...

Looking over that map you posted, I would scrap the top 5 bin points and use them down where it matters. You're not running a Formula One engine, nor are you using fuel injection, nor are you using a carefully and precisely blended racing fuel, so a variation of 0.75 degrees just isn't going to matt...

Looks like the only thing you haven't tried is the coilpack which is about the only common thing to cylinder pair issues. If you don't have a spare see if you can rewire the primaries to switch the coil halves to the other cylinder pair (even with temporary patch leads). Do remember to switch the HT...
